Electrical Team Leader - Tangiwai Sawmill

WPI is a successful company manufacturing and exporting quality timber and pulp. We have a well established, quality focused production facility situated beneath Mount Ruapehu, where we manufacture branded product for the domestic and export markets.

In the role of Electrical Team Leader you will be a member of the Maintenance team reporting to the Maintenance Manager and have responsibilities that include:

· Managing electrical repairs within a set budget

· Maintaining the Electrical Plant to comply with all regulations

· Ensuring minimal down time on plant

· Planning, communicating and controlling day to day operations regarding all electrical personnel

It is essential that you are……

· Willing to learn and computer literate

· An NZ Registered Electrician with CPL

· Punctual, organised and have a proven record of managing a group of 4 people

Maintenance Planner

Maintenance Planner - Tangiwai Sawmill

In the role of Maintenance Planner you will be a member of the
Maintenance Team reporting to Maintenance Manager and have

· Maintenance planning
· Health & Safety reporting


It is essential that you are……..


· Familiar with maintenance software; Maintelligence
· Have a working knowledge of sawmill parts or general mechanical maintenance
· Efficient and accurate computer skills
· Health & Safety experience
· Be a flexible multi-tasker with good communications skills
· Good timekeeping for reporting purposes

Technical Development Engineer

Located at the Karioi Pulpmill and reporting to the Technical Manager, the key responsibilities for this position include:

- Driving process improvements and plant optimisation to improve quality and productivity through projects and process trials

- Providing leadership for problem solving teams focussed on high level process variations and disruptions
- Maintaining the quality of the product and assisting Research programmes

A strong technical background in pulp and paper or a relevant tertiary qualification is required. In addition you will have:

- A previous work history that shows you have challenged accepted practices, promoted a value-led approach and worked effectively within time and budget constraints
- Experience in problem root cause analysis and devising effective and efficient solutions within budgetary constraints would be an advantage
- An ability to bring together individual specialists to create a high functioning problem-solving team

Day Electrician

Day Electrician - Karioi Pulpmill

 To meet the job description requirements Applicants for this position require:

· ESSENTIAL: Full NZ EWRB registration with a current practising license

· Sound knowledge and experience of industrial machinery and plant

· Maintenance experience, PLC’s, instrumentation and control systems

· An ability to work independently to maintain and maximise plant operation

· Be a team player with good communication skills

 

The day electrician works:

· Monday to Thursday 7am – 4.30pm + one Friday a month for training + the on-call roster
